Video Tutor Tip: Ball Toss

Purpose: to practice vocabulary or grammar using a model sentence

Prep Time: five minutes

Materials:a ball or small stuffed animal

Prep: Choose the model sentence(s) that the students will say during the activiy. 

Procedure:

1.  Write the model sentence on the board with blanks where the students will insert variations.  Read the model sentence and check students' comprehension.

2. Ask a few students to say the model sentence, filling in the missing information as they say it.

3. Students form a circle.

4. Model for the students how to say the sentence and then toss the ball to another student. That student says the sentence and then tosses the ball. 

5. The activity continues until all students have one or two turns.
