Looking for a grammar resource for learners to develop their skills outside of class time? Check out the “Verb of the Day” video collection by Katie Lanius on her YouTube channel “Sharpened Fluency’s Verb of the Day”.

Every week Katie posts four 15 – 20 minute recordings that feature a “verb of the day”. Each video features a different verb, and provides examples of various phrasal verbs affiliated with the verb. She demonstrates the different verb tenses (past progressive, simple present, present perfect) and provides examples sentences. Katie also explains how the word can show up in other parts of speech (e.g. budget as not only a verb, but also a noun, or adjective). Katie started to create “Verb of the Day” videos in March of 2020, so there’s a great collection of videos for learners to dig into.
