Details

The 2025 event was held at our Minneapolis based learning center. We had prizes including a Literacy Minnesota Journeys book (writings and art from learners) and custom tech themed art pieces donated by Frances Bates. The event coordinator had information on other organizations so people could learn about a variety of digital literacy services.

When: May 30 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Details

In 2024, we partnered with Goodwill-Easter Seals to host this event at their Minnesota office location where one of our computer labs are located. The event was a success with about 30 attendees and all organizations involved thought it went well. Learners from Neighborhood House were the winners of the three prize packages. First prize was a Chromebook donated by Comcast and a laptop case with Bluetooth mouse. Second prize was a tech themed board game called New Phone Who Dis?. Third prize was a Literacy Minnesota Journeys book (writings and art from learners) and a donated computer chip bolo tie made by Frances Bates.
