STAND STRONG FOR LITERACY

This year has been a lot. When ICE came through our community, students, staff, and volunteers were on the front lines — and every day, incredible cruelty was met with incredible kindness. People delivered groceries, raised money for rent, shared civil rights resources, and kept learning even when it was too dangerous to leave home. Support from friends like you made sure we were there when it mattered most.
Today we’re facing another test: a serious financial shortfall. In March, we laid off beloved and dedicated staff members and trimmed our programs. But our mission is still vibrant and strong. Our doors are open, and our learning communities are more committed than ever.
What we witnessed this winter, neighbors helping neighbors, will sustain us as we move forward. Rebuilding begins by working together to close this year’s budget in the black. With an overall goal of raising $100,000 by June 30, we are counting on our supporters to help us begin the new program year strong.
Please donate before June 30th to help us look forward and expand education in our community for the next fifty years.
