Welcome to our second installment in the tutor tip series dedicated to ideas and resources to help enhance access and support learners with disabilities! We’re continuing the focus on lesson planning with this month’s resource, the Got a Minute? Learning Series. It’s a short series of self-guided modules from the California Coalition for Inclusive Literacy that digs into the what, why, and how of lesson planning with Universal Design for Learning, a strategy that focuses on proactively anticipating and reducing barriers for all students, especially students with disabilities. Module topics include setting goals, identifying barriers, and providing options to support learning!

If you’re interested in exploring resources from the California Coalition for Inclusive Literacy further, they also have a webinar series covering additional topics, including expert learning, meaning-making, and self-reflection. These webinars happen on the second Monday of each month and recordings are available if you can’t make the live session!
