  • Is planning to apply for US citizenship.
  • Has had a green card for 5 years (or more), or 3 years if married to a US citizen.
  • Wants help preparing for the naturalization interview.

What's covered in class?

  • Activities to prepare for all parts of the naturalization test.
  • US government & history (in preparation for the 128 civics questions).
  • Questions from the form N-400 (the citizenship application form).
  • Reading & writing requirements of the interview.
  • Speaking & interview (English language) practice.

Legal Services

  • We make referrals to free legal services who can help with the N-400 application and the naturalization process and interview.

The class will be at Literacy Minnesota headquarters on Raymond Ave, 1.5 blocks south of University Ave in St. Paul. This location is near Highway 280 and University Ave, close to the border between Saint Paul and Minneapolis. 

  • This is near the I-94 freeway 

  • This is near MN Highway 280 

  • Green Line Light Rail: Green Line station at the corner of Raymond and University 

  • It’s 1.5 blocks south of University Avenue on Raymond at Raymond and Wabash St. Enter the building through the entrance attached to the parking lot, not through the door on Raymond.
