Lindsey Pust

ABE Instructor

Lindsey Pust joined Literacy Minnesota as an AmeriCorps VISTA in 2010 and is now an ABE Instructor at Open Door Learning Center - Northside. Additionally, she is currently a member of a statewide team that develops and delivers instructional training to GED teachers in Minnesota. She was also a member of the Minnesota Numeracy Initiative 2013 cohort. Lindsey has an undergraduate degree in Humanities from the College of Saint Benedict & Saint John's University. While in college, she worked with the Bonner Leader Program and the Service-Learning program, coordinating and facilitating relationships between faculty, students, and community partners. Outside of work, she is actively involved with her church and has a passion to see different parts of the world. She enjoys spending time with close family and friends, and cherishes the little things. Lindsey's passion for literacy started during her AmeriCorps term. Her heart was drawn to the GED population as she worked with these amazing individuals. If given the proper tools and encouragement, they can change the course of their entire lives, as well as those of their families. She loves that she does not just teach, but continually learns from her students as well.
