Kelly Rynda

Hotline and Volunteer Support Specialist

Kelly Rynda joined the Minnesota Literacy Council as Hotline Referral Specialist after serving as a volunteer at Open Door Learning Center – Lake Street and completing a year of service as a literacy VISTA. Kelly has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Minnesota and received her master’s degree in English as a Second Language from Hamline University. She has experience working or volunteering with several Adult Basic Education and K-12 programs, including the English Learning Center, International Education Center, Franklin Learning Center, Hmong American Partnership, American Indian OIC, Reading Partners, Bloomington Public Schools, and Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute. She is passionate about lifelong learning for all, especially through volunteerism, language and culture, and community connection.
