Jill Ambrus

Development Manager

Jill’s role, as the Development Manager, is to build new and deepen existing donor and funder relationships. Her position focuses on annual individual giving, grant writing and grants management, donor database management, special events and major gift support.

Jill brings a broad range of experience starting her career in trucking sales in Chicago and then moving to the corporate headquarters to do sales training, nationally.  She has also worked for several nonprofits including The Anti-Defamation as a director for their anti-bias education program, the Girl Scouts in an outreach capacity and a St. Paul arts organization, COMPAS, doing fund development. Most recently she worked at the YMCA as a Regional Sales Manager where she saw the critical need for literacy working with new immigrant families.

Jill is a graduate of the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities.  Her volunteer experience includes tutoring at a literacy center in Chicago, and fund development for COMPAS and De La Salle high school. Outside of work, Jill loves to kayak in low-risk waters, read, and enjoy leisurely walks around the Minneapolis riverfront.  Her best weekends are when her daughters come home and she and her husband can spend time with them.
