Janet Stewart
Northstar Curriculum Writer
Janet is a curriculum writer for Northstar Digital Literacy. She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Minnesota and a graduate certificate in Instructional Design from UW-Stout. She earned a B.A in Linguistics and Russian Language and Literature from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Janet has experience teaching and designing ESL courses for diverse adult learners in a variety of contexts in the United States, Russia, and Kazakhstan. Before joining Literacy Minnesota, she worked as an instructional designer in higher education and for the State of Minnesota. Outside of work, Janet enjoys playing badminton and tennis, painting, and cooking.
