Harold Hegg

Harold Hegg is currently the Vice President of Data and Analytics Strategy at Ameriprise Financial.  He has spent over two decades in the Financial Services industry.   His early work as a technology consultant focused on banking technologies and operations development.  Harold has held several leadership roles focusing on transformational strategies and business development area where his duties include research, development, and new business model design targeted at capturing opportunities in new markets.   Over the past several years, Harold’s work has focused on analytics and data science.   He currently lives in Minneapolis with his wife and two boys.   Outside of work he enjoys coaching his children’s sports and traveling with his family. 

Harold’s connection to the mission of literacy began when he was studying English at Concordia College in the early 1990s.  He saw the power of the written word in history and over the years he has witnessed firsthand the impact of literacy has had on his children and the community around them.  He believes that any exceptional society delivers the right of literacy to all people and that empowerment lifts all lives around us.
