Elizabeth Bennett

Statewide Distance Learning Specialist

As the Digital Learning Specialist, Elizabeth supports adult education teachers, staff, and volunteers throughout Minnesota. Contact her (or the DL helpdesk) with any questions related to online or distance learning, integrating technology into your teaching practice, and teaching digital literacy skills. She’d love to chat! Her personal mission is to help everyone feel less scared and more empowered and resilient as technology keeps changing.

Elizabeth began her career in elementary education and transitioned to the field of adult education in 2016, serving as a VISTA member with Literacy Minnesota. She has taught adult ESOL, pre-GED, and GED learners in a variety of in-person, online, hybrid, and HyFlex contexts. She holds a Minnesota ABE teaching license from Hamline University, a B.A. in French from the College of Wooster (Ohio), and an M.A. in Educational Studies from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. Outside of work, Elizabeth appreciates spending time outdoors with her family, cooking, listening to all three MPR stations, visiting museums, and going to bed early.
