Activity: Three Vocabulary Practice Activities

Purpose: To give students a chance to “play” with vocabulary words to deepen their understanding.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Materials Needed: None 

Procedure:

Choose vocabulary words that you have taught your students or that they are already familiar with. Use any/all of the following activities to review and apply the words.

1. Alike and Different

What is alike or different about these words? infer/imply

2. Examples and Non-Examples

Which is an example and a non-example of engrossing?
