Sarah is responsible for finding opportunities for Literacy Minnesota's donors, corporate sponsors, and volunteers to play a role in the success and long-term sustainability of the organization. Sarah joined the staff in the summer of 2017, and has more than a decade of community engagement and donor relations experience from her previous positions with The Loft Literary Center, The Friends of the Hennepin County Library, Coffee House Press, and other arts and service organizations in the Twin Cities. She holds a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from Hamline University and is a licensed mediator with the State of Minnesota. Sarah has had opportunities to work with beginning readers through her volunteer work and substitute teaching in Roseville Public Schools, where she has experienced first-hand how transformative strong literacy services and support can be for improving the lives of Minnesota children and their families. Sarah is an avid reader, and lives with her two daughters and husband in Falcon Heights.
