Erianna Jiles is Literacy Minnesota’s Project Coordinator for Black Literacy Matters. Erianna is currently studying creative writing at Metropolitan State and will graduate in 2021. She has also studied journalism at North Dakota State University and attended her first two years of studies at St. Paul College. Erianna’s current and previous work includes a long list of story-telling assignments: reporter with YR Media in collaboration with WNYC’s 18-to-29 Now project, assistant podcast producer at Minnesota Public Radio, a digital media internship with The Current and on- and off-air roles at KFAI and KMOJ. She is also a graduate of the Brand Lab and ThreeSixty Journalism, which train students of color to share stories of their communities and join industries where they aren’t represented. In her spare time, Erianna likes to cook and hang out with small dogs.
