Danielle Brown is the Learning Center Coordinator at Open Door Learning Center—Rondo. Dani believes that literacy can help individuals and families attain practical goals and deepen relationships within their communities. Prior to working at Open Door—Rondo, Dani served as the Literacy Council's Community Outreach Intern. In this role, she planned and facilitated volunteer engagement events, most recently inviting the Center for Victims of Torture to share about traumas students may have faced before arriving at our Learning Centers. Dani served in the Peace Corps from 2014-2016 in Rwanda as a TOEFL and Teacher Support Volunteer. She has a B.A. in English and History from the University of Minnesota, Morris. Outside of work, Dani enjoys exploring the Twin Cities, traveling, experimenting with new recipes, and of course, reading anything and everything.
